Subform Problem

I have a purchase order form which generates a Purchase order header record also in the form is a subform for adding parts to the header. The Problem is after I have created a header record and move over to the subform to add parts the first record doesn't populate the supplier field but the next record does and so on. the default value of supplier in the subform is set to the supplier account value of the main form and once a supplier is select in the main form I run the docmd save record.

Anyone have an idea's

Kinda fixed it using dataentry and save record commands in VB using events.
