my setup is like this: all small scripts and snippets of all sorts are placed directly in my 'htdocs' folder, and perhaps into another folder. but all my domains are placed in a '_domains' folder, and named like this: 'mydomain.com'. so that when i direct my browser to a domain, my address line looks like this: ' what i would like instead, is that i make a handle that will forward me to this folder. like ' can this be done?

hm. i might be a little inept in this area, but i couldt get it to work. i get a comment saying '[error] VirtualHost _default_:433 -- mixing * ports and non-* ports with a NameVirtualHost address is not supported, proceeding with undefined results.'

i tried to do it as it was explained on the link you provided. could there be something i missed?

btw, i'm running an xampp lite server on windows, if that's relevant.
