Hi everyone,
Subdatasheet are annoying, I never use them. But now I want to have one on a (sub)form, but can get it working. There are 5 tables connected to one another; they contain medicine atc codes, which have a 5 level hierarchy. The tables show the right subdatasheet (which are automatically created). But I cant get them to show on a form... Any ideas?

Hi TheAceman1Nope,
How are you? No Luck. I created a subform with a query with subdatasheets (the query looks ok, with the + to expand the datasheet). I put the subform on a main form, and set it to datasheet view. But nothing happens - the subdatasheets don't come up. Funny, and I know I created on once before (by accident, ahah).

[blue]It takes two forms[/blue] based on & linked to the parent/child tables in order to see the subdatasheet! (I believe your expecting the one subform to show the child table. It doesn't work this way.)

Make a [blue]subform for the child table[/blue] the subform is related to and insert that on the subform . . .

Hi TheAceman1,
I was just writing, "Oh my..I don't think I understand.", then I gave it one more try, this time really following your instruction :) And, he, it works...!!!

I thought that the datasheet would just show the underlying query (with its subdatasheets) in a datasheet subform, but not so.

So, if I want to see the 5 levels, I would need 4 subforms!?
