Sub-folders not staying expanded

Hi. I have a user who insists that I fix his sub-folder problem :-(. I checked knowledgebase and found nothing on this. The problem is when user expands a folder in GW 5.5, then exits, he wants it to remain that way so when he gets back into GW, it is the way he left it. It is not. It is only one folder that does this. I ran GWcheck struct/content and reset the client options. One of our tech people also noticed this problem. When they log onto another pc, the problem does not follow.

Any ideas would be welcome - hero or zero?

If the problem does not follow you from PC to PC then it is a GroupWise client problem. Uninstall the GW client, remove all related registry entries (see TID 10026879.htm) and reinstall the client.

rjs, thanks for responding. I have an update. I had an idea that the user didn't do what I asked so I had him log on to another pc again and expand the folder, get out of GW and get back in. It turns out that the problem DOES follow him. So, that means not a client problem. Maybe a bug? Any other ideas? What a pain.. Janis Tomasone

This is a shot in the dark, but if only ONE folder does this, I assume you mean he/she has many folders and the others work fine.

If so, create a new folder, move all the messages from the problem folder. If that works (stays expanded), delete the original "bad" folder and rename the new folder.

rjs....EGGcellent idea! I suggested it to the user and he said he will try it. He was happy "I" came up with a suggestion
