Style Sheets

Is there a almost like template or example to follow when using style sheets for text in brochures etc.. I find that sometimes I have trouble determining the space before and after, and it sometimes looks odd, because I have a separate style for bullets, a separate one for indented text, subheads, etc. Was just wondering if there is a "correct" way to follow?

There is no correct way to do anything...
It's whatever works for you the quickest and best.
