Dumb question...
Resolved an issue with some dead OPX's to a remote site that's carried over the customer's microwave system. Premisys channel banks on either end of the microwave hops, with an FXO card on the PBX side, and and FXS card on the remote side.
We have 8 OPX's going out to this site, only 3 were working, and 5 were down. Difference was the working ones had a steady dial tone, and the 5 dead ones had stutter dial tones because of waiting voice mail.
So I changed the PBX programming on these OPX's to disable the stuttering dial tone and now all 8 are working fine.
Is this just a nature of the beast sort of thing with these T1/channel bank systems?
Thanks.
