stupid thing can't detect cdrw

just tried using my cdrw after upgrading to 2k and 2k thinks it's just a cdrom.
the drive is an IDE atapi iomega zipCDRW on it's own ide port.

I don't know if you have the same problem I did, but I found that Windows2k assigned my IDE drives as SCSI and it made my CDRW not work... I have a VIA chipset and installing the new drivers from the manufacturer made the difference (Although it messed things up when I had already installed the service pack). <shrug> Don't know if that helps...
