Stupid Question 1

How and where are the cubes stored by Analysis Manager? When I search for the .cub extension it doesn't find any. I want to be able to move the cube to another server.

I know someone out there will know, but I can't find anything in the online books or the web site to answer this question.

Analysis services stores the cubes in many diffrent files types. they are typically installed intothe data directory in the Analysis Services root directory (I say typically because this is configurable). Analysis services maintans dim Files Agg files Data files and rigid agg files. The .CUB file is only created when you create a Local Cube file. Actually knowing where the files exist and what ones your looking at can also aid in trouble shooting performance issues.
