It is a stupid question, but I can't find a definitive answer anywhere.

I have a pair of Proliant ML110ga servers, with the Intel d 935 processor. I am running Win2003r2 on them, but I need to upgrade to the x64 versionto install Exchange 2007 - the production version doesn't run on 32bit Windows.

I have googled my fingers off, but even Intels site is ambiguous - it refers to 64bit applications, vaguely.

Can anyone give me a yes or no? I can try installing Win x64, but that means taking servers down and reconfiguring hard disks - It'd be great to know I wasn't wasting my time.

Thanks.

right, the Intel Pentium D 935 has EMT64, which if i remember correctly means it can run 64-bit OS.

Ah, that's what I was looking for. Thanks.

In fact went ahead and tried an install of Win2003 x64, and as you'd expect, it works fine.

Thank you both for your help there.
