Sorry for the newb question. Foxpro version 8. I haven't written a foxpro app in years, and I had a q&d contact manager I designed. Nothing major, but I built an app with the wizard that worked fine on the client machines (yes, I installed the necessary dll packages), I just wanted to change the startup screen to something more attractive. So I created a new one called startup (simple, just buttons instead of a text list), clicked set main for the new form, and rebuilt the app. After that it no longer launches any startup screen. What am I forgetting? Thanks in advance everyone.

PUT IT BACK! <g>

"Set main" is not the same as a starup screen.

It's been years since I looked at the wizard-generated code, but I'd bet money that their default "Set as main" is a prg file. Inside that prg file, they'll establish the environment, SET CLASSLIB, etc., and instantiate an application object.

The "splash screen" (or startup screen) will be launched from there, not the project manager. There's probably a property of the application that says what the main form is.

When you change the PM's "main" you nullify all of the application's normal setup code.
