I know I am missing something very basic but I cannot get a handle on it. I am going against a Oracle D/B and picked 3 fields out of a table. One of these is FUND. I set up a formula:
{Sprid.Fund}= '12345'
and placed it in the Report Header. When I do a data refresh, it gives me all of the recs in the table where I am only trying to get one.. One where the fund = '12345'
I know I will shoot myself if I find the answer!
Thanks for any help given..
Ron

Well, it was stupid. I found the problem. I will post what it was in case someone else does the same thing.

When I created the formula I:
Select Insert field_>Formula fields and created my formula.

what I did that worked was
Select Report->Edit Selection Formula->Record and created the formula.
I have to thank synapsevampire for showing this in another post that I found.

I don't know why the first one did not work but the latter does.

Ron
