I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Can anyone shed light on success stories using the cisco press books. I am having trouble retaining all the info for the new ccda. COuld some tell me the best way that these books can be used and the way it worked for them. THanks!

I used the Cisco press book to study for the CCNA exam. I worked through it chapter by chapter, then returned to some areas that I was still weak on.. then worked through it chapter by chapter, then returned to some areas that I was still weak on then.. on and on until I understood the concepts and as much of the detail as posssible.

In the mean time I was experimenting with Routersim and working through the practise labs.

But the thing that really brought it all togeather was some Bosun practice tests, I knew that I was weaker in some areas than others so I tested heavily on those weak areas refered back to the book for understanding and carried on practising.

Only when I was hitting 90%+ and kicking myself for not getting a question correct did I take the exam.

Hope this helps,

..EB
