Using CentOS44..
I have a server (lets call it SERVER1) that after a successful kicking of it, it reboots and gets stuck in grub. The odd thing is the same process and kickstart file works fine on another server i have (lets call it SERVER2) in that after the reboot it boots up fine.
There are hardware differences between the two servers but both are Intel based and historically we did not have this problem with CentOS42 and before. It started with CentOS43. One possible hardware difference between the servers is SERVER2 has a 3ware 9k series RAID controller with SATA drives while SERVER1 has a 3ware 7k series RAID controller with PATA drives. But there are other differences. I believe the motherboards are different as well.
I'm not sure where to go next to troubleshoot other then to learn grub to see if i can poke around when it's hung after the reboot.
NOTE if I kickstart SERVER1 and edit the kickstart file to have it install from CD instead of an NFS mount, it reboots fine.
