I managed to download and update my OS X/Classic and Eudora with NO PROBLEMS!
Now, I have a new problem. My husband has a G4 Mac with OS X Tiger only. This means I've had to copy from his old G3 his old Eudora 5.1 onto a CD and save it to the Application Folder and the User's Document Folder respectively on the G4.. When I try to open Eudora I get a notice that I have mailbox named Junk and what do I want to do with it. I am given 3 options, all of which I've tired. As soon as I choose one of the three options, I get a notice that Eudora had quit, and I should report it, close down, and one other which I forge. I can't get out of loop.
Again, I'm on a G4 Macintosh.
Oh, if only someone can help me, I've been at this all day long.
