Hello,
Had an odd observation I made on my home 11c and wanted to see if this is normal behavior. I use a mix of phones -- mostly 3904s, 2008s and 2616s. When I update the IDLE_SET_DISPLAY setting under PARM in LD 17 the change applies across most of my sets within a few minutes (this includes the 2008s and 3904s); however, the 2616s do NOT receive the idle set display update for hours, if not days. I'm aware that the IDLE_SET_DISPLAY/Brandlining is a low-priority background task for the system, however it seems odd that it that *that* long to update specifically on 2616s.
Things I've noticed/tried:
- I'm aware that some phone wait for a LAMPAUDIT background routine run to update the IDLE_SET_DISPLAY value on the phones.
-- With the above in mind I've gone into LD 77 and set DLMP 0 (meaning Lamp Audit is ON).
- I've tested with several 2616s across several known working TNs (all are consistent in NOT receiving the new IDLE_SET_DISPLAY).
-- Interestingly I have 1x 2616 that seems to update (also not consistently), and it looks like the IDLE_SET_DISPLAY last set on the phone gets stored in the phone itself, because if I plug it in to another TN it shows the same message.
- I've tested with varying lengths of IDLE_SET_DISPLAY strings... from 6-18 chars
- I've also tried to INI my system, and do a full power off/power on.
- I'm running 4.50w
- I've tried to DISU and ENLU the Line Units I have with 2616s on them.
Does anyone have any other experiences/ideas with respect to this? As always any and all help/guidance is greatly appreciated
Cheers,
bc
