Struts Action class with link in websphere

I have a page that has a link on it. when you click the link, I need it to go to the action class, which figures out what page you are going to, passes that to some business logic that will determine what nav bar appears on the jsp page. I have no idea how to do this, I am extremely new to java/struts/websphere.

Code examples are greatly appreciated.
