I would like to implement a stronger password policy for our network. We require a password that is 6 characters long, changed every 90 days, and keep 32 password histories.
Unfortunately, the Microsoft Strong Password Policy does a number of things, most that we like, but the part that sets a rule that you need 3 out of 4 settings. (Uppercase, Lowercase, Arabic numerals, Nonalpha characters (!$#,%). We would love to use this but we really would like to require 2 out of the 4 versus 3 out of the 4. Is there any way around this?
Otherwise, we agree with the rest of the policy.
Any suggestions?
Dan
