I haven't used Illustrator in a while, and I can't figure out why my brush stroke appears transparent. The opacity of the object's fill and stroke are 100%. What's the deal?

For clarification, it's just the stroke that looks transparent, not the fill.

Well you can just put the "NONE" button where you want transparent. The NONE button is the white square with the red line going thru it.

Or if you are trying to make a fill somewhat transparent like a percentage transparency. Just copy what you have as non transparent make it the percentage you want in the transparency pallet and then paste on top the object you copied earlier and use the NONE button to subtract what you do not want of the art.

Perhaps that might help you?
