Is there a way to write a script/mail filter in SCO Unix or sendmail so that certain attachents can be refused by the mail server? I'm running a windoze network with an SCO Enterprise file server and I can't depend on my users to keep their antivirus software up to date. I'd like to just flat refuse .vbs, .exe and .scr files.

Any suggestions?

Sure. talks about virus stripping.

Or, put in server based virus scanning.

Disclaimer: I both sell and support a product that does this:
However, there are MANY competitive products that offer this, and it can be done on your SCO server also:

And there are more- do a Google search for "virus scan" and you'll find a couple or so :) Tony Lawrence

The script will probably do nicely since we are a small company.

Thanks!
