Hello - I'm 99% sure this cannot be done but just incase I said I'd ask the question - Can you strip/manipulate incoming digits on a BCM.

Say you have a number of sites linked via SIP and site A calls the access code then say 99+ext for site B and say 98+ext for site C and 97+ext for site D etc. Can the various sites strip 2 digits thus leaving the extension number only??

Again I don't think so but I said I'd ask the question
Thanks,
Paul

OK

Say we have three sites A ,B and C
Site A exts 500 - 550
Site B exts 600 - 650
Site C exts 700 - 750

To dial site A(Access code for SIP Trk)99500
To dial site B(Access code for SIP Trk)98600
To dial site C(Access code for SIP Trk)97700

On each site I need to strip the 99 or 98 or 97 to leave just the extension number.

The idea of having these two digit 99, 98, and 97 is to distinguish what site you are calling like ESN (UDP) on the large system. I'm not sure if UDP is possible on the BCM only perhaps CDP.

In the destination codes use the asborb setting this deletes digits not to be sent out.

If you have the MCDN keycode, you can set the network type to UDP under Dialing Plan --->Private network. Program each sites location code, 99 for site A, 98 for site B and so on. Fyi, you can do the programming if you do not have the MCDN keycode, it just won't work.

wouldn't you just add 5A , 6A etc
as a dest code absorb 0
so your user @ site A dials site B 6XX ,6A is a dest code to your SIP trunks.

I have a network of 9 systems configured like this and it works great.

It's only dialtone-VZ
