We received a backup of a DB from a colleague overseas and have not been able to open it in Access 2003, it prompts for a password, he states there is no password so there must be some embedded VBA being called as Macro's are disabled. Is there a way to parse out the DB to gain access? Password recovery programs indicate there is no password as well.

Have you tried to opent it holding down the shift key ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

using the shift key does no good, it acts like its going to load up then stops at the password dialog prompt box. This MDB was created using Office 2000 Access, if that helps any.
