Strip digits?

Hi!

Does anyone know how to strip digits in a scripts so that calls do not carry the number of the DID that was called? The problem is that our calls route to an Octel, but Octel looks for the initial digits dialed for the voicemail box instead of the number of the phantom that I am routing it to. I believe if I could wipe away the incoming digits within the script, then I can alleviate this painful problem.

Thanks.

A call will carry the DNIS (called DID number) around until a new (internal) call is made.

Don't know if an incoming number can be rerouted to the main_script again via f.e. a 'ROUTE CALL cdn' command and will loose the digits dialled after that command (if main_script routes on that CDN via a WHERE cdn EQUALS)?
There is no command to assign 'DNIS = 0' to loose the dialed digits.

I also don't know how an Octel is to be programmed but do know if a call enters Meridian Mail you can do a "CL cdn" to loose original digits dialed. A call has to enter the voicemail system first for this and has to be rerouted to the main_script. After this you can do your normal scripting and route to the phantom, only this phantom number must be known in the voicemail system (as it has lost the DNIS).

Implementing this can be an option if call volume is low. Since this can have a huge impact on the voicemail system if there lots of incoming calls!
