I am wanting to sort data in a string grid,

i have a string grid with 2 colums and 10 rows. i want to sort the data by colum, but keeping both colums on the same line ie.

2 3
1 1
3 6

witch would then be sorted by colum 1

1 1
2 3
3 6

or by colum 2

Please help

John

HI,
will you have a number more than once in either column? such as
1 2
1 3
2 5

i am trying to plot a graph with the data but if it is not entered in properly it will not work so i need to sort the data so that there is a constant on one axis

thanks for replying if you have any other ideas then my ears are open :)

Where did you get the data from? If the source is a table or an array it would be easier to sort it with a query.
