string 255 char limit - concatenation

I have 2 strings I wish to concatenate and place on the report however the resulting string will often exceeds 255 characters...is it possible?

From the CR help section :

The maximum length of a String constant, a String value held by a String variable, a String value returned by a function or a String element of a String array is 65,534 characters.

To Paraphrase:"The Help you get is proportional to the Help you give.."

Should have mentioned, I'm using cr 8.5...255 str var max.

If each string is less than 255 characters, you could drop them into a text box instead of creating a formula.
