HAve Dell optiplex 260. After drive went bad, installed XP Pro on new drive and successfully installed XP Pro, drivers, and Office XP. When I restarted PC, I get error message, "Strike F1 to retry boot or F2 to enter setup". Unplugged and restarted. Same result. Is my PC fried? thanks.

Assuming this is the BIOS screen that is giving you this error then it could well be that the CMOS Battery needs replacing. If you press F2 and enter setup, then exit the setup screen it should let you into windows.
