This is a dumb question, but is the directory in the .ini written as
D:\Mercator6.7\
or
D:\Mercator6.7
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Try both and let us know. Set the size to 1 meg. and watch the directory.

Make sure you have permissions and file space available.
