Hi people,

I have a client who is interested in putting streaming video up online, are there any complications assocaited with this, in terms of cost? Do I need any 'special' hosting etc.

Thanks

Depending on the type of video, your host may have to have supporting software installed. Additionally, you should check with the hosting company with regards to bandwidth usage. Streaming video consumes loads of bandwidth and it is extremely easy to go beyond the normal bandwidth limits set by hosting companies.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Does anyone know of any good software to use for a site to site stream? We are setting up a live feed of one site to be displayed on another. Bandwidth isn't an issue. We just need some software to stream from the cam. The better quality, the better! Any ideas anyone?

Thanks a lot,
Dan

that looks good. I wasn't looking for a web interface though. Do you know any that can encode and stream MPEGs in real time?

Thanks
Dan
