I know there is probably no good way to do this, but i figured it couldnt hurt to ask anyway.

All of our users connect to our servers via terminal services in server 2003. They have no access to the internet on their local desktops, just through the ts session. Our main application vendor has some training videos that we would like for our users to be able to stream through their website.

I have already tried embedding a video into our intranet page to mimic what it would be like, but no video shows after hitting the play button. I have not done much else passed this point.

Is this even possible? Is their software or hardware that could make this work? Any tweaks that can be made to the Terminal Server?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

How about just allowing your users access to the main vendors website only on their local desktop?

Do you maybe not have the link location set correctly this will load the windows media player window (in a small form factor) but will not play the/any video, also if youre sure on that does it require some goofy codec that you may not have installed on the TS? You should still be able to play videos that are embedded in a web page. The problem that arose from the attempted solution doesnt sound much like a TS issue. Good luck in any case.

cstorms - I tested the embedded video on my local desktop and it ran just fine through IE, but when i log into a terminal server session all i get is a black screen (within Media Player, not the whole window) after hitting play and no sound. So i know the coding is right.

scottew - that would work but users are in the routine of using IE in the terminal server session. They also use the vendors site for other purposes and i want to make it easy on them if possible so they dont have to remember which IE to use for which purpose on the site.

thank you for both of your responses
