Streaming sound in a movie sounds bad

I'm working on a project which has both streaming sound in the main timeline and movies that contain streaming sound.
When I make a .swf of it the quality of the sound inside the movies is much worse than the sound in the main timeline. This also happens when I use the same sound (so it can't be a difference in sound quality or compression setting)
Now comes the strange part. If I (pre)make a (.swf-)movie with the sound and load it in the the main movie (with Load Movie) the sound quality is fine.
I've tried this on a Mac with flash version 4 and on a PC with version 4 and 5. The result was every time the same.
Does anyone have a solution or can anyone help me with this?
Martijn.

There is a definite loss of quality when you stream sound and for that matter as there is in streamed video. In this case... Just wondering if you're not streaming sounds that are already being streamed! Maybe not streaming sound in your inside movies would solve the problem... as your second example seems to prove!

Thanks for your answer, but I'm not sure I understand it completely.

I know streaming sound doesn't have a good quality, but my problem is that the quality is in some cases worse than in others.

case 1.
I have streaming sound in the main timeline and I have a movie-symbol (which I place in the main timeline, on level 2) with streaming sound.

case 2.
I have 2 swf's, both with streaming sound in the main timeline.
From within the first .swf I load the second .swf (in level 2) with the command: Load Movie("second_movie.swf",2)

The difference in sound quality is that in case 1 the sound from the movie on level 2 is worse than the sound from the main timeline. In case 2 the sound quality of the movie in level 2 is the same. (Obviously the compression settings are the same in every movie)

As far as I understand flash there shouldn't be a difference in both cases. But I can't figure out why the sound quality isn't the same.
Maybe I don't completely understand the difference between a .swf and a movie(symbol) inside a project. I thought that a movie(symbol) is effectively the same as a .swf. So that is doesn't matter if you place a movie(symbol) in your timeline or load in a .swf.
(This is also the main difference between case 1 and case 2.)

My point is... in case 1, what's the point of working with streaming sound in the movie-symbol, as you call it, as opposed to using .wavs, that will be streamed, once again, in the main timeline.
Unless... we don't have the same definition of "streaming" sound!
