I am playing around with browsers and streaming audios, and I am curious about rtsp-type link ( - Real Time Streaming Protocol). For example, there is a page:
*
which has a real audio link:
* rtsp://realaudio.rferl.org/ch10/20041223-2030BR.rm?start=19:00&end=29:50
On my MSIE6 at work it opens Real Player and starts playing audio without any problems. MSIE6 at home, on the other hand, shows "page can not be displayed" error, although I have Real Player installed also at home. And, finally, in Firefox the link does not work neither at home nor at work.
Any suggestions? How do browsers recognize such links as "rtsp://" and how can I "teach" the browsers to recognize it?
Big thanks in advance!
