Hi I'm a newbie on visual c++ programing and need some help with streaming mp3's. If you know how I can do this then I would be very glad for any help I can get.

Thank You

to make your own Mp3 decoder, you have to understand the compression algorithm, which I would think would be a hetic, but good learning experience for a novice, however , I would look into using the Media control API functions, since Win98 (and 95 with some systems) have Mp3 Codec support, which you could easily use, and no it's not like one of those ActiveX Media Player controls, the API you can use to use Win9x existing codecs to play for you, you'd be surprise how many applications dont actually have their own decoder. When I remeber the API calls, I'll let you know.
