Strategy to Implementing VIPA

I want to hear anyone’s thoughts the best way to implement VIPA. I am a network technician and not a programmer. I have Cisco 4506 layer 3 switches. Does anyone have any experience in this?

VIPA, as I understand is basically an Hot Swappable Routing Protocol for IBM. You would run VIPA on an IBM Mainframe/Server to provide hardware redundancy.
