I have seen this now in two office's and I have to admit I am at a loss.

Issue

User will have light on phone that indcates there is a message. But when they go to listen to said message there is no messages. When the Status screen is checked there is a 1 in the field for New Messages. However when Voicemail Pro is checked there is a 0 for new messages.

What I found that "fixes" the issue is to reboot the IPO, however that only updates the status with the Voicemail Pro. Anyone have any idea what is causing this as it comes back every so often.

Thanks

Hate to suggest the basics, but are they a member of a hunt group and have that HG in their source number field?

On both cases (so far) they are not a part of any Hunt Group, good thought though and I should of put that out there.

You by any chance on 8.1 ? I have seen this issue but it's unresolved

It's only dialtone!!!

No, both systems are the up to date 9.0.3. I want to say it is some sort of networking issue, but that sounds like a cop-out.

Is it just one user? Try deleting them, save, and recreate. I've had that fix funny MWI lights before.

It is one user on each system. Item to note one is using VPN the other is in house. I have reset the user, removed user and extention. Then made sure the Voicemail Pro box was purged. Restarted and read added user and the problem returned. I just had it happen yesterday, rebooted system and the problem was gone. Now at 10am the problem has returned.

Still as mentioned before.

Check the user 'source' tab.

Check that there isn't a code Hxxx (where xxx is a huntgroupsname or number)

Nope, like I said no hunt group. Only thing in source number is their Vxxx (where xxx is their extension.

No, but they have a VM server in both locations on the same SCN. Has not been a problem until recently.

you know that is not supported in an scn enviorment, maybe a duplicate extension on the remote side?

There was a duplicate, I have removed the duplicate from the remote system and will reboot the systems tonight and see what happens. Thanks

I know it is not supported but their fear is not having voicemail in the remote locations if the network goes down. So we made it work, sort of.

:)

then I would remove the scn as you will continue to experience these type of issues!
