Can anyone tell me if they know the reason why, after having ammended my web page, sometimes when viewing my web pages the original one is displayed depending which PC I view it from. I have even had one ocassion when I saw, as the page was loading, my original page but then it was refreshed to my new page automatically. My page varies depending on which PC I view it on even after deleting history, off line content etc.

Can you give us the link and tell us what the page is supposed to look like? This sounds like a cache problem. Also, try to look at the page with a browser/computer that has never before seen your page.

scribbler,

My two cents ...

If your site is behind a proxy caching server and if there are no cache tags in your page the problem could be that your old pages are being served by the proxy. Ask the proxy admin to clear the cache (your site cache, of course).

Jakob ;-)

Hi Vragabond & dkdude.. I'm a little reluctant to supply the url for fear of embarresment. I am new to web coding and the chap doing the actual design is even worse than me and the pages look very amatuerish but I am concentrating on the operations of the pages etc then will look at the design. I looked up cache info on the web, after reading both your replies and the link below suggests that I need to have the no-cache entry twice..

You may want to add a doctype to at the beginning of your html sheet.
