We have a very strange thing happening on our BCM in California. During the day everything seems to be fine. After 6PM, the main number rings and then stops with no transfer to auto attendant. This has started happening mostly since the upgrade to 4.0. It happened once or twice previously but not it seems to be every night. We have one line set up just as auto-attendant and it is happening there too. I changed the number of rings from 0 to 2 and it changed from ringing once to ringing twice and then stopping. Anyone have any ideas or pointers of where I should look.
Thanks,

We do nothing to it at any time. Thats why it is such a strange thing. We have had it for several years and made no configuration changes between 3 and 4. I am going to do some additional testing this evening to confirm what they are telling me and to see at what time the problem goes away.

Use the BCM monitor program and watch to see what happens. It sounds like maybe someone has forwarded the line to nowhere.

I don't have access to BCM monitor from home but noone has made any changes to anything. I tried the numbers from home last night and after a couple of rings, on a line set for two rings, the ringing just stops. After about 1 and 1/2 minutes the phone rings again and it goes to voice mail for the receptionist, which is the control phone. This morning about 3AM PST, i tried it and it was working fine. We do a full backup every night at 1AM. I was wondering if the backup shutting down and restarting CallPilot services started it again. I am going to move the backup to 4AM PST so I can test prior to the backup occurring.
Any suggestions/ideas are appreciated.

Finally got this resolved. The problem was that the closed business greeting was set to "4" and there was no greeting for 4. I thought it was supposed to go to a standard greeting but for some reason, our standard greeting was just "air". If the caller had entered an extension it would have transferred properly. By changing to the office standard greeting of "1" everything is fine. Thanks for helping.
Larry
