Strange thing occurs when opening DB

Hi All,

The strangest thing is occuring when I try to open my DB.

I have the DB protected by password, each user with its own password.

The DB opens directly to a main form, with all the options for the DB.

When I open it from a certain PC, It asks me for the user ID ans Password. I enter de information (It doesn't matter what user id I use), and it opens this main form for a few seconds and then it closes down. If I then go to the file menu and select the DB from the list, it shows a warning saying the DB is Read only and opens it. It shows the main form as nothing would have happened.

But the DB isn't read only.

I have the DB divided in front end and back end, Both located in an external Hard Disk connected to my network.

Any ideas of what could be happening?

I tried to make a new DB in the PC where I have this problem.

I can not create a new DB. I have the new dB menu grayed out.

Is this possible???
