I'm writing a stored procedure which involves creating a temporary table and inserting a bunch of values into it. The strange thing is, when I try to run it, I will sometimes get an error that reads:
Insert Error: Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition.

Then, at other times, it works fine even though I never altered the code.

Is this error something associated with my Windows or Sql Server perhaps or is it in fact most likely an error within my code? I just find it strange that the error only pops up occassionally.

Without seeing the code, it is hard to say what is happening. But most likely it is inthe code somewhere.
