A couple of days ago I moved a swap file from one partition to another on one of our file servers. I kept the size of the file the same.
The partition I moved it from was nearly full but had a capacity of 135GB. The partition I moved it to had a capacity of 65GB about 5GB of which was free space.
After reboot however the server quickly filled up the event log with not enough swap file space errors.
Can anyone explain why this would happen when the size of the file remained the same?
