System is on site A.
Sites B & C have a mix of 9608 and 16XX phones, maybe 9 to 1 ratio for 9608. When someone calls from a 14XX set from site A to site C, the call is answered and the person at site A hears a loud kind of "zap"; like the hook switch but with some weird static. It's not on all calls, and happens less frequently on site B. People being transfered from PRI or calling through the AA will hear this too from time to time.
Site A is 8.1(43); with PRI and remote sites are on a LAN Extender running on fiber, with VLAN and QoS. No other sound issue like the usual we hear (echo, dropped packets).
