Hello

First off, i might be a bit of a noob, my last education involved windows nt 4.0 and i have not been using this knowledge for a few years to say the least :)

Oh well, here is my problem.

I have a windows 2003 server that is used for prnt and file server, the users are not on the domain so i cannot validate them this way.

I have 30 people divided into 3 groups of 10.

Each group have a shared folder and every user has a private folder.

My problem is this.

Since i cannot validate people at logon because they are not actually a part of the domain, i just set up things like this.

The 10 people in every group is included in a group called 1,2,3 and the 3 common folders are assigned to group 1,2,3 accordngly. Every single individual has a private folder and i add them as the only user with access to this folder.

Right click on the folder, select connect network drive and press "Logon as different user", enter the credentials user/pass and i get access to both drives and they are mapped as Q and P drives. tick in "Automatically reconnect" and everything works just fine.....Until they reboot.

At that time i am ether asked to enter the same password that i allready gave when mapping the drive or i will get errors.

If i disconnect both drives and reconnect again like at first it works...until next reboot.

Advice would be nice :)
