Hi all
I have a jukebox title card program in Microsoft Word,( it lets you make your own little cards telling you the records you put on a old jukebox )
it has a fixed table background and it lets you add text to each card in the spaces in the tables.
I want to make the cards longer, if i grab the corner of the table to expand them, it only expands the text part not the background table.
If i grab the background table and expand it the text stays where it is and does not expand with it .
Is there a way to merge them both together then expand them both together ?
Or is there a way to change the format it is saved in and i could open it up in a photoshop software and expand it in there thanks

What you have are nested tables with an image beneath it. You need to remove the table and save it safely in a new document.

Then you will be left with the remaining red image. Make the image the size that you require now by dragging its handles. You could then paste the table back and change the column widths adjusting the alignments to fit the new background image.

But better still, create a new table over the background.

I suggest that once you have the background object the correct size for your needs and centred on the page, you adjust the page margins to its exact size. Then cut the object and insert it as a background image leaving the text level free.

Insert a new table and adjust the first row to exactly fit over the larger background aligning the text areas. Then duplicate the row to create a table that covers the whole background. Finally, copy the text from the original table into the new table. It sopunds complex but should be very simple in reality.
