Hi,
Does anyone have a clue about this question? I copied a report (let's call it rptStatus1) that contains a subreport. The new report (rptStatus2) also contains the same subreport, but when I changed the recordsource for the subreport on rptStatus2, it also changes the recordsource for the subreport on rptStatus1.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

As you said in your post "The new report (rptStatus2) also contains the same subreport"! Both master reports are referring to the same subreport, which is external to the master reports. In other words, the subreport is nothing more than a regular Access report that you want to imbed in two other reports. When you changed the RecordSource of the one subreport the change affected both master reports.

If you want the second master report to have a different recordsource for its subreport than the first master report you'll have to make a copy of the subreport and change the RecordSource of the copy. Then, change the second master report to use the copied subreport instead of the original.

Thanks,
I will try it when I get back to work tomorrow morning. It sounds like it will work.
