strange problem with ca 24 dss on ext 11

I recently installed a CA 24 on extension 11 ,customer has had a CA 24 on ext 10 for years

the unit on ext 11 works fine except for buttons 14 and 16 it just gives a dull thud when you press these buttons. no light no connection

I can swap the ports and the problem stays with the port , the new unit works fine on ext 10 and the old unit gives me the same problem on ext 11

I have gone as far as taking the unit and the mls 12d back to the equipment room and plug it in directly to the 206 mod with the same results works fine on port 10 buttons 14 and 16 dead on port 11

of course the boss man is extension 16 and wont change his ext number

anyone run in to this one before ?

The buttons on the Call Assistant are programmable, just like Auto Intercom buttons on the MLS set.

Try FEATURE 00, hit the non-functioning button on the CA-24, left INTERCOM button, then either the Ext. No. or "*" and the Ext. No.

THANK YOU !!! It made perfect sense once I read your response I stopped by this afternoon and set it right up .....

I was going to start swapping out 206 modules or maybe evan processor thanks again for poining me in the right direction
