Dear Members,

We recently upgraded our Cognos tools from 6.6 to 7.3
I created a sample cube with drill down capability to impromptu reports (v7.3) Now the problem I am getting this error when i try to drill through.

"Failed to open document Test.imr. Its location has changed. Please check the full path of the File"

I also set the Database Security Options under the USer Profile so that I don't have to type the DB user name and password each time i drill down to a report.

After spending some time. I figured out one thing. U know the Catalog Logon Window that pops up when u try to open a impromptu report. If I check the option Always Show this Dialog, when i try to drill down from powerplay, this window will popup and if i click OK, it will load the impromptu report without any problems. But if i uncheck that checkbox, it will result in the above error and will open the remport with only the correct report layout but no data in it. so I am assuming it couldn't connect to the catalog automatically. Then if i just close the report and go to the Catalog Menu, and select the option Connect then it will connect to the catalog. If i keep it as it is and try to drill down one more time from Powerplay, it will load the report with the correct data as the designer is already open connected to the catalog.

I never had any problem with 6.6 though. But I don't know why this is happening with 7.3 version. Am I missing something? I am sure u guys can point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Pyash
