On of our V440s running Solaris 8 is showing correctable errors on three of it's internal disks. The boot disk is ok.

Sun has replaced one of the disks and the motherboard but the problem continues.

Has anyone encountered similar problems ?

DANDAN123;

Take a look at this thread DANDAN123;

CHECK OUT THREAD thread60-1182782., seems to be your issue. There are a couple patches, both for Solaris 9 and 8 which I had commented on. Also by the end Sun haold told the Engineer there was a firmware patch for his drives. His drives were Hitachi, since yours are Fujitsu you need to run an iostat -En get the model #'s and punch them into sunsolve and see if there are any firmware updates for those. If you wnat to post your iostat -En info I will take a look.

Thanks

Thanks cndcadms, yes it looks as if there is a firmware update, hopefully that should fix the problem.
