Hi,
I'm having a strange problem that surfaced this week.

Site A - CS1000M SG (Rls 4.0)
Site B - CS1000E HA (Rls 5.5)
Site C - CS1000M MG (Rls 4.5)

Bi-directional calls can take place using virtual trunks (H.323) via the NRS between Site B and Site C.
When a call is made from Site B to site A, the users gets no ring back. The phone at site A rings twice and then the call drops.
When a call is made from Site A to Site B, the call sets up and a media path is established.

Any ideas?

Terry

Are these calls being made from IP phones or TDM phones?

I know the problem exists when calls are being made from IP phones.
I cannot confirm if the problem ocurs with analog phones as well.....

double check for VNR (if in use where is it?), and compare your CDP codes with the NRS entries for Site B to A.

also, check the basics, Subnet masks, default gateways

are the 3 sites on different networks? or just different subnets?

use a phone from SITE B to ping a phone at site A and C results=

since it's IP to IP no DSPs will be used, so skip any media cards (VGMC) since they are out of the picture.

NRS, Sig servers, and Phones, and CDP codes are the main components that should be looked at.
