STRANGE PRINTER VS NOTES PROBLEM

This is a new one to me.

I have a remote user who works out of his home. He has a home network setup. His laptop running WINXP SP2. LOTUS Notes 5.0.11 client. The problem is when he tries to print it will not print from LOTUS. If he closes LOTUS, it will print properly from any other program. If he connects the printer directly to the printer (bypassing the network), it prints fine from LOTUS.

Anyone ever seen this problem? Any ideas?

Never mind, turns out it was the VPN connection causing the issue not NOTES.
