Strange Printer Oddity After Report Update

I recently made an update to an Access report, and since then when I go to print the report it selects a printer OTHER than my default where it wants to print. If I manually change the printer selection back to my default, it will print to it and continue to print to it until I close the report. Then when the report is re-opened the OTHER printer is once again initially selected. The update I've mentioned above was only the addition of a field. It seems as though this update is causing this problem to happen, because if I open an older version of this report it will print to my default printer.

I've tried to resolve this issue by doing the following:
- Checked the printer's connections.
- Rebooted the printer.
- Successfully printed to this printer as the default from all other apps.
- I've even tried removing the report field in question, but the report still wants to print to a printer OTHER than my default.

Could anyone please help figure this one out?

Thanks.

Why make it simple and efficient when it can be complex and wonderful?

Hi Mike,

What do you mean by "Manually change"? Do you mean you go to FILE>PRINT and use the standard print dialogue or do you mean that you go to page setup and select to use a specific printer?

Regards,
Noel.

Appollo14,

Thanks for responding. I was able to fix this issue by simply re-packaging the application. I did have to use File>Print to manually change it, but its fixed now. Strange...

Thanks.
