Strange PowerPoint Printing Problem

I've got a really bizarre problem in PowerPoint 2003 and was wondering if anyone has seen something similar.

Basically, if I click on File > Print (or use the CTRL + P shortcut) instead of getting the usual Print window as I would expect, it just prints with default settings to the default printer.
The problem does not happen in any other application, just Powerpoint.
I've tried changing the default printer to a different printer on the network which I had just installed on the machine and which used a different driver as it was a different printer model. I've also tried the usual reboots and checking through the settings for something that might be a "disable print screen" option, but I've had no luck.

Has anyone seen anything like this as it's a new one on me! I really don't want to have to rebuild the PC for something potentially quite minor.

Thanks in advance.

I found something that may work but I don't have PPT 2003 to test it before offering it to you.

"From inside of Powerpoint go to TOOLS > OPTIONS > PRINT and then change the DEFAULT PRINT SETTINGS FOR THIS DOCUMENT from MOST RECENT to USE THE FOLLOWING and select the handouts setting you want"

I'm thinking that something changed your File - Print to a quick print. See if there's something in the options to allow you to change it back.
