Outlook with SP3 (MS Office XP) was working fine.

We updated Nortorn Anti virus 2004 to 2005 and Outlook would still load -- and we could see emails, but we could not open any emails.
The hourglass would just be there forever.

If we removed Anti Virus, AND ran Outlook Repair fine for awhile, then the problem came back.

This seems be an Outlook problem.

Any suggestions?

this seems to by, as usual, a Norton issue. Once installed, and if you are one of the 'lucky' ones, you become victim to Norton's AV intrusion and corruption.
Sad, but get rid of it.

Finally found it.
The .pst file was corrupt.
Don't know if the anti virus caused the problem or not.
Deleted the .pst and created a new profile.

Everything now works.

Thanks.
